Can a Musician Find His Way Back Through the Music?
The Kids In The Spotlight (KITS) production year ends with the final script out of our summer program at the University of Southern California (USC), The Good Life.

Following a tragic accident, an aspiring musician loses his sight and lust for the “good life” he always dreamed of. Now he must find his way back through the music.
With an original pitch about a blind musician who has visions after losing his wife, this team of writers wanted to help people understand that no matter what situation you are given or put into, there’s always light at the end.
The Good Life is directed by KITS Ambassador David Mahmoudieh, his fifth KITS film. Known for Superman & Lois, Snake Dick and Ringo Starr's Let's Change the World, David is also part of the Sony Diverse Directors Program.
The film, shot at The Sun Rose in West Hollywood and The Blue Room in Burbank, features Justin Cornwell (The Umbrella Academy, Jingle Jangle) starring in the lead role alongside KITS youth. The original music he performs in the film was also written by one of the youth, Kion G.
As always, these productions are made possible thanks to amazing partners who have supported KITS for years as well as those who are being introduced to KITS every day. We have to give our sincerest thanks to Radford Studio Center for their continued support, elevating our productions with lighting and grip equipment all production year long. Thanks to JL Fisher for the camera dolly; to Quixote for the production truck; Impeccable Taste Catering for craft services and catered meals; to Komé Beauty and Make-up Designory (MUD) for the on-set hair and make-up services; and to an anonymous donor for the location and catering on the first day of production.
