About Music Is Unity Foundation

Founded by Singer/musician PHILIP BAILEY of the legendary musical group Earth, Wind & Fire in 2007, the Music Is Unity Foundation (MIU), is a leading non-profit focused on youth aging out of foster care. MIU provides grants to non-profit, community-based organizations and agencies -- like Kids In The Spotlight, which MIU has supported for about 8 years -- that offer supportive services for over 23,000 youth who are emancipating from the U.S. foster care system each year. With little education, few job skills, and often physical and mental health concerns, emancipated youth are at very high risk for homelessness, substance abuse, unintended pregnancy, and incarceration. A percentage of ticket sales from Earth, Wind & Fire concerts are designated for the Music Is Unity Foundation and its programs.
