KITS Welcomes New Fund Development Associate Tracy Yassini
The Kids In The Spotlight (KITS) team is thrilled to introduce its newest member, Fund Development Associate Tracy Yassini. She joins Fund Developer Megan Hobza, doubling the development department’s staff.
Tracy brings to her new part-time position at KITS over 20 years of fund development experience in city and state funding, federal grants, corporations and foundations, major gifts from individuals, endowment and capital campaigns, individual sustainer programs, direct mail, and events.
In addition to several years spent at larger institutional nonprofits, which include key positions at City of Hope National Medical Center and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, her on-the-ground experiences with social justice and grassroots organizations have given her the ability to address real-life issues with strategies and approaches that are rooted in authenticity.
In her short time with KITS, Tracy has already proven herself to be a powerhouse, providing organizational tools, staff training, event management, strategic planning, and deep knowledge about donor relations.
Tracy shares, “I love what I do, and it’s great to be a part of Kids In The Spotlight as they continue to grow and impact foster and transitional age youth.”
Working in collaboration with the KITS team, as of June 1st, the development department has raised $1.7 million for foster youth media arts programming in 2022.
