KITS Gears Up for 2019 National Foster Care Month

Every month is Foster Care Month for Kids in the Spotlight. But May is an especially busy time as join thousands of other advocate working to bring awareness to the more than 400,000 youngsters in the foster care system--a system that often lacks the resources necessary to provide kids with well-rounded emotional and academic support.

By teaching foster kids to produce their own short films KITS not only gives them a voice, but gives them access to national platforms for their voices to be heard. And those voices will be heard loud and clear on May 5th as three of our kids films will be screened at the Child Welfare Film Festival (CWFF) in Brooklyn. Then, on May 11th the will cameras roll for a full production day with the youngsters at the Rightway Foundation. And May 21st KITS returns to longtime participant, Maryvale Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program for a 15-week session.
