Updated: Jan 14, 2021

Making art makes a difference! This week the California Arts Council announced the largest grants investment in the agency's history, supporting vital California arts businesses and cultural workers.
A record-setting $29,951,200 total was awarded and Kids in the Spotlight is grateful to be named among the 1,534 grantees from nonprofits and government agencies throughout the state who received this encouraging vote of financial support.
The CAC's mission is to "strengthen arts, culture, and creative expression as the tools to cultivate a better California for all."

Kids in the Spotlight received a $20,000 grant from the agency to assist with the ongoing work of training foster youth in the art of filmmaking, as well as the development of KITS's own production studio facilities--a social enterprise that will create more jobs for Californians.
